Anna Hillman, 22 years old, had moved with her younger sister from her home in Hoboken, New Jersey, and was living with her uncle, Frederick A. Meicke in Cicero, Illinois. She was a telephone operator at Western Electric Company. A portion of her salary provided for her younger sister.

Anna died on the Eastland. Her body was returned to her relatives in Hoboken, where the funeral was held.
