Mary Jiricek worked at Western Electric Company and was on board the Eastland with her younger brother Frank. They both survived.
The photo above shows Mary with the women of Department 3316. They are dressed in pseudo-nurses uniforms and holding a placard that reads, "Our Company's Call." The photo is from 1914 and reflects Western Electric Company's support of the United States' effort in fighting World War I.
