Gunnar E. Klefbohm and his brother, Ernest George Klefbohm, were on board the Eastland when it capsized. Gunnar survived while Ernest perished.

Ernest was originally buried at Rosehill Cemetery in Chicago. Later, Gunnar had him disinterred from Rosehill in November of 1936 and reinterred at Ridgewood Memorial Park in Des Plaines, Illinois on November 21, 1936. There Ernest rests in peace with his brother Gunnar and Gunnar's wife.
