Julia Mulac worked at Western Electric Company with her younger sister, Lillian, and went to the picnic together. Unfortunately, they both perished on the Eastland. The double funeral and burial for the two young women was at Bohemian National Cemetery.

Julia and her sister were born in Chicago and graduated from the public grammar schools. Julia's watch was in her possession that morning when she died.
