OTHER NOTES:

...had carefully chosen her dress...

Anna and her friend and fellow Western Electric employee, Caroline Homolka, had carefully chosen their dresses for this special day. Anna and Caroline both would later perish aboard the Eastland.

Miss Anna E. Quinn, 22 years old, an employee of the Western Electric Company, was the beloved daughter of Mr. John J. and Mrs. Alice A. (nee Smith) Quinn. Anna was sister of John M., Mrs. Katherine Quinn O'Brien, Alice, and the late William and George. Her father, John J. Quinn, had driven the bridewell bus (the "Black Maria") for more than twenty years. Anna Quinn graduated from the Blessed Sacrament Parochial school. At the time of her death, she was engaged to Edward J. Gatens, who also died aboard the Eastland.
