The EASTLAND DISASTER HISTORICAL SOCIETY preserves and shares the names, faces, and stories of the tens of thousands of people affected by the tragedy.

GEORGIANA M. BECKER

In December 1999, Georgiana M. Becker attended the EDHS presentation at the Berwyn Public Library. At the conclusion, Georgiana approached EDHS and placed two quarters into the hand of EDHS Co-Founder, Susan Decker. This selfless act of giving became the first donation ever made to EDHS.

This honorary webpage, plus a collection of Western Electric artifacts and documents named in honor of Georgiana donated to the Hawthorne Works Museum, serve as reminders of Georgiana's lasting legacy to EDHS, its community of followers, and the public in general.
